If you’re noticing that your TikTok Shop settlements are not appearing at all in your Link My Books dashboard, you may be affected by a known TikTok Shop issue.

This happens specifically when sellers use TikTok’s “Top-Up Ads Balance Using GMV Payments” feature.
This article explains why the settlements disappear, and what you need to do to get them restored.

What Is “Top-Up Ads Balance Using GMV Payments”?

TikTok Shop offers a feature that allows you to use your seller balance / GMV payments to fund your TikTok Ads account.

In practice:

  • TikTok deducts ad top-ups from your seller payout

  • But TikTok’s Finance API does not include those top-up transactions

When TikTok sends settlement data to Link My Books, the totals don’t match because of this missing information — and as a result, Link My Books cannot import the affected settlements at all.

That’s why they appear missing from your dashboard.

Why Does This Cause Settlements to Disappear?

For a settlement to be imported into Link My Books, TikTok must provide complete and internally consistent financial data.

However, when you use GMV-funded ad top-ups:

  • TikTok deducts these amounts from your payout

  • TikTok’s API does not include those top-ups as transactions

Because of that gap, the settlement fails our data validation and cannot be processed — meaning:

The settlement will not appear in Link My Books at all.

This is a TikTok data issue, not a Link My Books configuration problem.

We are working with TikTok Shop to push for an API fix, but progress has been slow.

What You Need to Do Right Now

To ensure your settlements import normally moving forward, and to fix any missing ones:

A. Stop using “Top-Up Ads Balance Using GMV Payments” for now

Switch to a different way of funding your TikTok Ads account (e.g., card payment).
This prevents new settlements from going missing.

B. For any existing missing settlements: we can manually repair them

We can restore these settlements — but we need a statement report from you.

Step 1 — Download your TikTok Shop settlement report

Follow the instructions here:
👉 How to Download your TikTok Shop Statement Report

Step 2 — Email it to our support team

Send your report to: [email protected]

Please include:

  • A note stating you have used “Top-Up Ads Balance Using GMV Payments.”

  • The amount and date of each top-up (if known).

  • The settlement(s) you are missing, including the amount and date.

Once we receive the report:

  • We will manually adjust for the missing data

  • We will make those settlements appear and become usable in Link My Books

Will This Be Automatically Fixed in the Future?

We are actively working with TikTok Shop and have formally requested that these ad-top-up transactions be included in their Finance API.

Unfortunately, TikTok has not yet provided a timeline for that change.

As soon as TikTok updates their API, Link My Books will handle these cases automatically.
