When you download from Financial Analytics
On the Financial Analytics page in Link My Books, you can download your reports so you can review them, share them, or analyse them further in a spreadsheet.
There are three tabs:
Overview
P&L by Channel
VAT Audit
The Overview tab keeps its existing PDF download.
The P&L by Channel and VAT Audit tabs now use a CSV download instead of a PDF. CSV files open directly in Excel, Google Sheets, and other spreadsheet tools.
💡 Why CSV? We switched the P&L by Channel and VAT Audit downloads from PDF to CSV because the previous PDF format could not display all data for users with many sales channels. The CSV format has no column limit, so all your channels and data are included regardless of how many you have connected.
Where to download Financial Analytics reports
Log in to Link My Books
Go to Financial Analytics
At the top of the page, choose:
Your accounts / sales channels

Click Update so the data refreshes

Each tab has its own Download button.
The Download button is only enabled once the data on that tab has fully loaded.
What the Overview download looks like (PDF)
When you click Download on the Overview tab:
Link My Books generates a PDF of the overview report
The layout is designed for a quick, readable summary
It broadly matches what you see on the Overview screen
Use this if you want a simple, fixed report to:
Save as a record
Send to a client or manager
Review without editing the numbers
What the P&L by Channel download looks like (CSV)
When you click Download on the P&L by Channel tab:
Link My Books downloads a CSV file instead of a PDF
The filename is descriptive, for example:
pnl-by-channel-2026-01-01-to-2026-03-12.csvYou can open it in:
Excel
Google Sheets
Any other spreadsheet tool
This CSV contains the same P&L by channel data you see in the app, but in a plain table format that is easy to:
Filter and sort
Add your own formulas and pivot tables
Combine with other financial data
What the VAT Audit download looks like (CSV)
