This feature is currently in beta testing and if you have any feedback please use the link on the page to fill out our Google form.

You can access the payout analysis tab by following these steps:

From the Settlements page, select View in the Action menu for any settlement:

Select the Analysis tab:

What does the analysis tab show?

The analysis page shows a visual breakdown of your payout and compares it to your previous payout from the same marketplace.

The figures included are:

  • Sales

  • Refunds

  • Average order value

  • Profit after COGS

  • Profit margin

  • Return on investment

  • P&L statement

Sales

The sales section shows your total sales. If your sales are over 1,000 then the figure is rounded and shown in thousands (eg. 4.35K).

The sales figure is the total of the following transaction types:

  • Sales principal

  • Sales gift wrap

  • Sales shipping

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.

This section also includes a comparison to the previous payout from the same marketplace or gateway if you're looking at a Shopify account.

Refunds

The refunds section shows your total refunds as a percentage of your total sales.

The refund figure is the total of the following transaction types:

  • Refunded sales principal

  • Refunded gift wrap

  • Refunded shipping

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.

This section also includes a comparison to the previous payout from the same marketplace or gateway if you're looking at a Shopify account.

Average order value

The average order value is calculated by taking your total sales value and dividing it by the total number of orders for this payout.

Eg. If a payout contained 1,000 order and the total sales were £1,000 then the average order value would be £1.

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.

This section also includes a comparison to the previous payout from the same marketplace or gateway if you're looking at a Shopify account.

Profit after COGS

The profit after COGS section shows your total profit after removing all fees and cost of goods sold.

The calculation is:

Sales

+ Other income (such as FBA inventory reimbursements)

- Refunds

- Fees

- Advertising costs

- Cost of goods sold

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.

This section also includes a comparison to the previous payout from the same marketplace or gateway if you're looking at a Shopify account.

Profit margin

The profit margin section is calculated as net profit divided by revenue and shown as a percentage.

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.

This section also includes a comparison to the previous payout from the same marketplace or gateway if you're looking at a Shopify account.

Return on investment

The return on investment section is calculated as net profit divided by the cost of goods sold and shown as a percentage.

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.

This section also includes a comparison to the previous payout from the same marketplace or gateway if you're looking at a Shopify account.

P&L statement

The Profit & Loss statement shows a full breakdown of all the items from this payout that were used to calculate the summary figures on the rest of the analysis page.

If you're established in the UK then these figures exclude UK VAT.
