I have a peak in sales but they are due to drop, can my subscription reflect this?

How your subscription can deal with seasonal sales

How Link My Books Handles Subscription Adjustments

At Link My Books we recognise that some sellers will have peaks in their sales at certain times of the year, such as some holiday periods.

How Order Counting Works

  • The order count that shows on your Billing page (in the 'Plans' section) is your current 30-day order count.

  • The system also checks a 12-month rolling average order count and uses whichever of the two figures is more favourable to you.

  • In this way, temporary spikes because of a busy month or two are unlikely to cause you to go overplan, due to the other months balancing this out.

  • If you went over the order count truly, by being over the average order count across that time period, the system would recognise it and send you an email with the details about the impending upgrade to the subscription.

  • This upgrade occurs automatically 7 days after the initial email.

  • Should the order count dip below the limit again, you can easily downgrade to a more suitable plan in the Billing page in the 'Plans' tab.

  • Downgrades are not automatic so we encourage you to keep an eye on your order count as you proceed to use LinkMyBooks!

Choosing a plan when you have a seasonal peak

Subscribe to the plan that suits your current needs when you set up your Link My Books - whether this is in a seasonal peak month or not.

If you have subscribed in a busy month, then when your order count decreases in quieter months keep checking back on your billing page and you'll see the option to manually downgrade plans when your order count has decreased.

If you have subscribed in a quieter month and then your order count increases in peak season, you'll receive notification via email of your overplan account and the automatic upgrade process.

โš ๏ธ Important: The 30-day rolling count can still trigger an overplan email during a peak month even if the 12-month average is under your limit. The system uses whichever is more favourable to you, so a genuine peak month where your 30-day count sits well above your plan tier will usually show up.
