This help article explains how to view an itemised list of your clients from the Link My Books accountant dashboard. Please note, this article is intended for accountant users only.
Head over to your accountant dashboard, and there is the option to download your active client list.
Here you can also see the order counts of each channel which can be used to help work out billing for recharging your clients.
Using the client list to recharge your clients
The downloaded CSV gives you a per-client view of how many sales channels each client is using. This is the same data Link My Books uses to bill the accountant account, so it's the cleanest way to work out how much of your subscription cost to recharge to each client.
⚠️ How accountant billing maps to per-client costs
Your accountant subscription is billed on the total number of active sales channels across all clients, not on the number of clients themselves. For example, an accountant with 12 clients where each has one channel pays for 12 channels; another with 6 clients where each has two channels also pays for 12 channels.
To work out a per-client recharge some accountants do the following:
• Download the client list CSV from the accountant dashboard.
• Count the number of sales channels listed against each client.
• Divide your monthly LMB subscription by the total channel count to get a per-channel cost.
• Multiply that per-channel cost by each client's channel count to get the amount to recharge them.
If you've recently added or removed a channel, the next invoice will reflect the change on a pro-rata basis, so the CSV download at the start of each billing cycle is the most accurate snapshot to base recharges on.
