Process for issues with the rollback feature when using QuickBooks

We've recently launched a new rollback feature which effectively undoes and removes all associated entries posted from Link My Books to your bookkeeping software.

Great right?

But you go to use this option and get an error message;

Error: You can not delete this transaction because it is matched to a transaction that was downloaded into a different account

So what now?

Why the Rollback error occurs

This error occurs when a settlement in Link My Books is rolled back, but the journal entry is matched to a transaction in a register in QuickBooks Online that's different from the entry in Link My Books.

How to fix the sync error

  1. Manually delete the journal entry in QuickBooks Online

  2. Contact Customer Support to request the settlement to be marked as un-sent
