If you use Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) — where Amazon ships orders that were sold on your other channels, such as Shopify — you may want to see the fulfilment fees Amazon charges for those orders separately from your normal FBA fees, so you can report on the true cost of fulfilling your off-Amazon sales.
This add-on does exactly that, and nothing else.
What it does
When enabled, Link My Books splits the MCF per-unit fulfilment fee out of your combined Amazon FBA fees and reports it on its own dedicated line, called:
Amazon FBA Fees - MCF Per-Unit Fulfilment Fee
You can then map that line to its own account in Xero or QuickBooks via Accounts & Taxes > Account & Tax Mappings, exactly as you would any other fee line. Everything else in your Amazon breakdown stays as it is.
Which option is right for me?
There are two ways to separate MCF costs in Link My Books, and they suit different needs.
1. Fulfilment Type Grouping (free, self-service)
Splits your Sales, Refunds, Sales Tax and Seller Fees by fulfilment type — FBA, MFN, and Other (which is where MCF orders sit)
Best if you want a full picture of each fulfilment type across your whole Amazon breakdown
Adds considerably more detail everywhere, not just to the fees
Turn it on yourself under Settings > Settlement Settings > Transaction Grouping — see Split Sales, Refunds, Sales Tax, and Seller Fees by Fulfilment Type
2. MCF Per-Unit Fulfilment Fee separation (this add-on, paid)
Separates only the MCF per-unit fulfilment fee onto its own line
Best if the fee is the only thing you need visibility of, and you would rather not add fulfilment type detail across the rest of your reporting
Leaves the rest of your Amazon breakdown completely untouched
Cost and how to enable it
This is a paid add-on, charged monthly:
£15 / month (GBP)
$20 / month (USD)
A$30 / month (AUD)
If you are the account owner, you can turn it on yourself. Go to Settings > Settlement Settings > Transaction Grouping, find Split MCF Fulfilment Fee and switch it on. You will see a confirmation showing the price before anything is charged, and the add-on is added to your subscription automatically.
⚠️ Only the account owner can enable or disable this add-on. It adds a monthly charge to the subscription, so if you are not the account owner, please ask them to switch it on.
Setting the mapping afterwards is separate — Admin, Accountant and Owner roles can all do that.
💡 The toggle appears on Amazon accounts only. If you turn the add-on off again, the charge is removed and you are credited for the unused part of the month.
⚠️ You need an active paid subscription to enable it. If you are on a trial or have no active subscription, enabling will be refused and you will be asked to subscribe to a paid plan first.
If you pay annually, the add-on is set up as a separate monthly subscription alongside your annual plan.
Things to know before you enable it
Settlements already sent are not changed retroactively. Only settlements that have not yet been sent to Xero or QuickBooks will refresh and pick up the new line. If you want the split applied to settlements you have already posted, you will need to roll them back and re-send them — see our Rollback Feature article.
The new line follows your existing account until you map it. Until you assign Amazon FBA Fees - MCF Per-Unit Fulfilment Fee its own account in your mappings, it will continue to post to whichever account your Amazon FBA Fees currently use. Nothing will break, but you also won't see the split in your accounts until the mapping is set.
You need the right user role to set the mapping. Changing account mappings requires an Admin, Accountant or Owner role. A Basic User cannot make this change — see How to add additional users to your account for the full list of roles.
