What this error means
The error “Due Date Out of Range” appears when Link My Books tries to create an invoice in Xero, but the due date on the invoice falls outside the range allowed by Xero.
Xero enforces rules around invoice dates and due dates. If the due date generated by Link My Books does not meet these rules, the invoice will be rejected.
Why this happens
Common reasons include:
The due date is earlier than the invoice date
The due date is outside the range allowed by Xero
The invoice terms configured in Link My Books create an invalid due date
This validation rule is enforced by Xero, not by Link My Books.
How to resolve it
You will need to review and adjust the due date configuration used for invoices.
Log in to Link My Books
Go to your invoice or accounting settings
Locate the invoice terms or due date configuration
Adjust the settings so the due date falls within the permitted range
Save the changes and retry posting the settlement
If needed, you can also review your invoice terms directly in Xero.
When to contact support
Contact Link My Books support if:
The due date appears valid but the error still occurs
You are unsure how the due date is being generated
The settlement continues to fail after adjusting the configuration
This will help our team investigate more quickly.
