If you're using Product Groups in Link My Books to separate different types of products you can also assign a Xero tracking option to each group to make it easier to analyse each product groups performance directly in Xero.

IMPORTANT: If you are selling a mixture of Standard, Zero and Reduced rated items for UK VAT then you will not be able to use this feature as product groups are being used already to allocate the correct tax rates to your products.

How to assign tracking options to product groups

  1. Turn on Product Grouping via Settings > Settlement Settings > Transaction Grouping

  2. Navigate to Inventory > Product Groups > Product Groups tab in Link My Books

  3. Select Assign Tracking Code from the Action dropdown on the chosen product group

  4. Select the Tracking Code you wish to apply to that group

Turn on Product Grouping via Settings > Settlement Settings > Transaction Grouping:

Navigate to Inventory > Product Groups > Product Groups tab in Link My Books and select Assign Tracking Code from the Action dropdown on the chosen product group:

Select the Tracking Code you wish to apply to that group:

How tracking options work with product groups
